Prashanth Purushotaman - Operations
As Head of Operations, Prashanth oversees the smooth and efficient functioning of our academy, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to both clients and athletes. A passionate badminton enthusiast himself, he is also the proud father of a provincial-level player.
Jithin Suresh—Head Coach
Jithin Suresh Graduated from Fanshawe College with a bachelor's degree elective in sports psychology. As the head coach, he will be responsible for designing and delivering training sessions that help clients develop skills and achieve their goals.
Achievements
- 2-year athlete for the reputed Fanshawe Falcons team, earning several OCAA titles under professional management.
- Coach at Lions Badminton Burlington, working along with international talents and coaches.
- Founded IBA (International Badminton Academy) in 2017 with his partner Afzal Hafiz, a former Maldives national coach who is still establishing more young athletes in Kerala, India.
- Ji is a certified coach with NCCP (National Coaching Certification Program).
John Carlo L. Balbuena - High Performance Coach
John Carlo L. Balbuena is an accomplished badminton coach. His coaching journey began at Fiat Lux Academy, where he served as head coach/trainer for the SHS/secondary school badminton team, demonstrating exceptional leadership and fostering a culture of excellence in sports.

Mirza Muhammed Shafeek Razaq - Junior Competition Coach
A passionate badminton professional and experienced leader, Coach Mirza combines over 6 years of coaching experience with a successful playing career in both India and Canada. He brings technical expertise, strategic insight, and a strong background in player development to ShuttlePro Badminton.
Coach Mirza also holds a postgraduate diploma in Business Management–Human Resources from Lambton College, Canada, and brings valuable administrative and leadership experience from roles in HR and team development, helping create a structured, athlete-centered environment both on and off the court.
His coaching philosophy is rooted in discipline, holistic growth, and developing confident, technically sound athletes ready to excel at all levels of competition.
